Developed in 2015 based on the Tinder model, this application allows users to discover and listen to singers and musicians nearby. Interactions are driven by a swipe system: swipe right to like, or left to dislike.

A filtering system allows users to browse musicians by genre, skill level, and proximity.

The application is designed for “Listeners” and “Musicians” profiles. When two musicians like each other, it triggers a “Perfect Match” within the app, allowing them to exchange messages and discuss potential collaborations. Without a “Perfect Match,” connecting with other users requires a payment via in-app purchase.

Musicians can upload multiple audio clips (minimum 10 seconds) using their microphone or—since V2—via a link (e.g., an mp3 file). They can also specify the instrument played, the musical style, and their skill level. Users can manage their uploads by editing details or deleting clips at any time.

A video explanation of the concept featured on the “Télé Matin” show on France 2:

Version 2 (V2):

A second version was released in 2017 featuring a major UI redesign and the ability to add audio tracks via external links.

Business Model:

  • Musicians can add links to their Facebook, SoundCloud, or YouTube profiles and access detailed statistics (profile views, likes, dislikes) for a one-time in-app purchase of €1.99.
  • To contact a musician without waiting for a “Perfect Match” (mutual like), users can pay €0.99 via an in-app purchase.

Our Role in this Project:

  • Scoping & Drafting of the application’s functional specifications.
  • Mobile application design: UI/UX presentation via Invision for client feedback and validation.
  • Development using Appcelerator Titanium for iOS & Android.
  • Integration with Appcelerator’s Backend-as-a-Service (BaaS).
  • Implementation of in-app purchases.
