Restopolitan

Restopolitan offers a “buy one, get one free” dining experience, where one meal is offered and directly deducted by the restaurateur at the time of payment.

Over 3,500 restaurants are available.
The service is active in France, Spain, and Italy.

Features developed for this application:

• The application supports both guest mode and logged-in mode. Reservations are only possible when logged into an account.
• Search for restaurants based on geolocation, number of people, and specific dates.
• City-based search functionality using an interactive carousel.
• Filter search results by price range, search radius, cuisine type, atmosphere, and various other options.
• View searched and filtered restaurants on an interactive map.
• Access detailed restaurant profiles featuring image galleries, expandable/collapsible menus, and practical information (opening hours, ambiance, cuisine type, etc.), with options to add to favorites or share the profile.
• Direct booking via the mobile app by selecting the date on a calendar, time, and party size. Reservation cancellation is also supported.
• User profile management (personal info, current offers, etc.).
• Implementation of a tagging plan for Google Analytics to track and analyze user behavior.
• Push notification system: event-driven (Mother’s Day, etc.) or automated (subscription expiration alerts, etc.).

Our role in this project:

• Scoping of the project’s functional perimeter.
• Implementation of monitoring routines for the client-developed API.
• Hybrid development using React Native for both iOS & Android mobile applications.
• Publication and release management on the App Store and Google Play.

Project highlights:

• Custom-built components like the calendar and specific UI effects that presented a technical challenge for hybrid technologies.
• Integration of Bugsnag (crash reporter) to analyze the source of bugs or crashes following the production launch of the application.
